There hasn’t been much going on in regards to the NFT world, however, Google Play has changed its policy on tokenized digital assets, allowing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in apps and games.
- The new policy, which will take effect on July 21, 2023, states that apps and games that offer NFTs must comply with Google Play’s content policies and developer distribution agreement.
- Users will be able to buy, sell or earn digital assets in apps
- The policy change is a sign of Google’s recognition of the growing popularity and potential of NFTs, which are unique digital tokens that represent ownership of various assets, such as art, music, collectibles, and virtual items.
This policy change could open up new opportunities for developers and users to create and enjoy NFT-based apps and games on Google Play, as well as increase the adoption and awareness of NFTs among the mainstream audience.
